Windows Workstations

Windows Computers are your employees interface to productivity. It is here that your employees sit typing, printing reviewing and analyzing the data that is used to grow your business.

Think how far these devices have come since the days of Dos 1.1. Windows sprang up from the protocols invented at Xerox Research Parc. The mouse, the graphical user interface, how much has changed over the years.

Nowadays we see Windows in the workplace. Windows in many varieties. Windows 8 in the residences, Windows 7 in the business marketplace and the home, occasionally Vista and the benchmark of business and residential computing XP Pro or Home. Microsoft has removed support from Windows XP, yet many still use it.

Are you in a business regulated by Hipaa or Sox Banes? Do you value protection of your data, devices and network. Then you cannot use Windows XP. Without active support you are in violation of these laws. We can upgrade you to Windows 7.

And now coming to market is Windows 10. No there is no Windows 9. Microsoft skipped a version number. When asked why, they replied, “because 7 ate 9′. Yes, Windows 7 was that good. Windows 8 was that mediocre. But our review of Windows 10 says this is the next version that will see acceptance in the workplace.

Nowadays, your employees use software such as Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database Management, Monitoring software, Internet browsers and more to do their job.

But every time they connect to another computer, be it a server or workstation, via the company intranet or the World Wide Web, they have the potential of activating a virus or malware. We erect firewalls and install EndPoint Protection software to protect the users, your network and most importantly your data from corporate espionage and terrorism.
